Reception

The aim of the Reception Team is to foster an inviting and caring atmosphere by ensuring everyone feels welcome! We create the first impression for visitors to the church and help set the tone for the whole church experience. Our team is passionate about ensuring no visitor goes unnoticed, and we aim to attend to all visitor enquiries.

In addition we ensure that accurate attendance records are kept and passed on where relevant. This includes performing a headcount during the service. We encourage you to be able to remember and recognise names and faces!

Welcoming & Ushers

Welcome to the Welcoming Team of Hope Adelaide! Our team exists to create a climate of hospitality forthe Sunday Morning Service. It is the ministry of the Welcoming Team to warmly welcome visitors, newcomers and attendees. There are two main roles in the Welcoming Team: Greeters and Ushers.

Greeters

A greeter is often the first representative of Hope Adelaide that peo- ple come in contact with when they enter the door. At Hope Adelaide, we wish to create a welcoming and helpful atmosphere at the very en- trance of the church. You are expected to have a hearty smile and a joyful attitude in helping visitors feel comfortable. People need to know that they are liked!

Lost & Found

The Lost & Found team is excited about reuniting people with their belong- ings that have been misplaced and to keep an eye out for any lost items. We providesupport to the church by providing an avenue the congregation can turn too when they’re misplaced their belongings and the assurance that the church is looking out for them. People in this team are responsible to handle any queries regarding lost items, and to organise a display of all the unclaimed items periodically. Any items that are unclaimed for 6 months should be taken to the Salvation Army.

If you have a passion for helping people to learn more about God through print- ed resources, and for helping out people when they misplace their things, then we’d love to hear from you!
