Intercession

Intercession is a very important role and one that is very rewarding in many ways. Intercessors have an opportunity to experience God’s heart for His Church. God is a good Father who desires the best for His people!

Through intercession, we can stand in the gap for others in prayer to see breakthrough, deliverance and victory. God encourages us to not stop interceding until He completes His work on earth:

Isaiah 62:6-7

O Jerusalem, I have posted watchmen on your walls; they will pray day and night, continually. Take no rest, all you who pray to the Lord. Give the Lord no rest until he completes his work, until he makes Jerusalem the pride of the earth.

If you are interested in partnering with God through prayer to see lives transformed and the spiritual atmosphere in our Church and the world around uschanged, this is the ministry for you!

We have three time slots for intercession in our Church:

Sunday (at Church from 8:30am – 9:15am):

The intercession will be in the creche room at Hope Church. We will put you on the Church roster for this time slot.

Sat Mornings (9:30am) & Thurs Nights via Zoom (9:45pm – 10:45pm):

These slots are by invitation only.

Evangelism

Our vision is to help fulfill the Great Commission by inviting people to attend our Sunday service and to build up the local church! We want to spread the love of God by sharing the gospel to our community.

Our goal is to raise up a team of members who will commit to witness to friends, family and others, and invite them to Church on a regular basis.

We hold weekly outreaches at Rundle Mall on Saturday afternoons, and weekly community door-knocking sessions. The Activate Student Group also holds regular outreach at the University of Adelaide and University of South Australia. We also implement evangelistic strategies such as letterbox dropping of Church invite cards, and giving gifts to bless the community.

Expectations/Requirements

• Be a faithful member, loyal to the leadership of this Church

Time Commitment/Involvement

• One hour for outreach on Saturday

• Attend Evangelism Team meetings and trainings

• Regularly hand out invitations to people to invite them to Church

• To liaise with the Transport Department for visitor pick up and drop off

from Church

• To follow up visitors each week and inform them of Sunday service and

other Church events

• Pray for people by name regularly

• To let us know if you have a good testimony to share
